Duties: This position is assigned to the WISCONSIN STATE FSA OFFICE, Risk Management Branch, located in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin.
The selectee administers or assists in administering one of the agricultural programs assigned to the State Office. The selectee may be assigned responsibility for the Common Provisions, Price Support, eGov, Conservation, or Compliance program. The specialist interprets regulations and legal requirements; resolves problems referred for State Office assistance; provides guidance to Service Center staffs; represents the agency in meetings and with contacts involving the assigned programs; and provides information to producers, the general public, and groups interested in the programs. In addition, the employee coordinates the Geographic Information System (GIS) program and serves as State Common Land Unit (CLU) Coordinator for the State Office.
