Applied Data Consultants, Inc. (ADC) is seeking a front-end Web Developer to join our software engineering team. If you are a creative and skilled problem-solver who enjoys working on diverse projects and thinking of “out-of-the-box” solutions for clients, ADC is for you.

An application development and geographic information systems (GIS) consulting firm with 40 employees in seven states, we offer a flexible work environment that allows team members to be innovators and leaders in our industry. We are an award-winning team that prides ourselves on our ability to work with clients large and small, government and private sector, to provide solutions that help streamline our clients’ businesses and departments.

Technologies:

We don’t expect proficiency on all of these tools immediately, but we are looking for someone with the aptitude and interest to master any technology that meets the needs of the problem:

  • Java (Stripes, JSP, Android)
  • PostgreSQL (PostGIS)
  • JavaScript (jQuery, Backbone)
  • Redis
  • ZeroMQ
  • MongoDB
  • CouchDB
  • Python
  • IOS

Requirements: 

  • Produces good, clean, standards-compliant HTML
  • Has strong Javascript skills, and experience with libraries such as jQuery, Backbone
  • Understands the browser landscape, and can debug and fix cross browser issues
  • Has a good grasp of usability, and strong sense of design
  • Experience with version control, ideally git

Bonus points for:

  • Knowledge in additional scripting languages (e.g. bash, Perl, Python, PHP)
  • Experience with a modern web or MVC framework
  • Experience with NodeJS, CoffeeScript, SASS, Bootstrap
  • Experience building mobile applications (web or native)
  • You have contributed to an open source software project
