The Research Analyst - Advanced classification is assigned to Pay Schedule/Pay Range 08-03. A six-month probationary period will be required. Located in Madison, the starting salary for this position will be between $45,990 and $75,884 annually, plus excellent benefits. Job Duties: Under the direction of the Intergovernmental Services Team Leader, this position spearheads the state's population estimates and projections program, and supports State Data Center Activities. Leading the state's population estimate and projection programs is approximately half-time and providing technical assistance in census data and other demographic expertise occupies the remaining time. This position also utilizes various analytical tools such as geographic information systems and statistical analysis software. Verbal and written presentation of technical material in lay terms by telephone and in person is key to this position. *Special Notes: A background check will be required on any hire new to state service.
