GIS Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Create custom maps based on specific requests supporting fiber optic sale/lease agreements, property accounting, planning, marketing, network operations, and executive requests
• Create and maintain user documentation for Javascript and ESRI Portal-based GIS applications
• Provide support to users of GIS applications and web-maps
• Develops GIS-based tools, applications, databases, or similar solutions
• Develop scripts to automate tasks in GIS software
• Perform spatial analysis from raster and vector data from multiple sources
• Compile, evaluate, modify and analyze data to support preparation of maps, tables, graphs, databases and reports
• Utilize GIS software to conflate and geographically align data from multiple sources

Requirements:

• College degree and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6+ years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education
• Python and SQL experience desired
• Telephony experience desired
• Experience with GIS applications – ESRI, MapInfo, FME, Q-GIS, GeoMedia – a plus
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Must be comfortable as a self-starter in a dynamic technical environment
• Ability to track and process multiple ongoing initiatives Ability to learn new technologies/software
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Software Knowledge: 

• Strong technical aptitude, including the ability to quickly and efficiently learn applications, systems, policies and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to work both independently and on team assignments
• Must be highly proficient with GIS concepts and possess excellent computer skills
