Job Summary:
The Survey Technician’s primary function is to design and layout Drainage Projects. The Survey Technician will work in the production department, depending on the workload of the Survey Department. The following is a broad overview of the duties and responsibilities:
- Draft survey maps and plans.
- Manage projects to completion of each job.
- Operate GPS equipment to stake tile.
- Assist with production-related duties when survey workload is low.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Drafting Plans:
- Draw estimates for customers.
- Draft survey maps and plans.
- Stake projects.
- Order materials, oversee project, assist with customer billing
Tile Location:
- Operate excavator to locate tile.
- Place flags on existing tile and confirm tile sizes.
Production work:
- Production duties are performed as needed.
- Possibility of up to 50% of time performing production work.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent. One year of construction-related work experience. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with GPS, CAD, agronomy, and/or construction equipment preferred.
