Job Summary:
MSA is looking for enthusiastic students to join our company. Our Champaign, IL office is looking for a Surveying Intern for the summer of 2018. This position will run late May through August. This position will offer project exposure to a variety of municipal and transportation projects in small and medium size communities. This opportunity will offer you valuable hands on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Surveying, construction observation and staking for municipal projects including utilities and roads
- Complete field duties accurately and on time for both internal and external clients
- Assist with technical reports and permits
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related degree (sophomore-senior standing) required
- Surveying coursework or experience required
- 2.75 GPA minimum required
- We are seeking someone who is flexible, accurate, reliable, and an effective team player
- Previous experience with Auto CAD or survey equipment would be a plus
- A desire to learn more about municipal engineering and consulting
