Job Summary:
The Geospatial-Land Survey Division of Ayres Associates is seeking candidates for a Survey Technician position. The successful candidate will have an active role in performing a variety of surveying services within the Land Survey Group at Ayres.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform a variety of field survey and mapping tasks utilizing GPS, robotic total stations and MicroStation/Civil 3D CADD platforms. Candidate may assist a Professional Land Surveyor in preparation of land survey documents and proposals. Is responsible for adhering to OSHA and required safety practices. Physical requirements include walking over uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs. Position will require overtime and occasional out-of-town travel.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a two–year associate degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology or a four-year degree in Land Surveying. One to three years of surveying experience is preferred. Professional Land Surveyor license a plus. Valid driver’s license with good driving record required. Experience in lieu of education may be accepted if applicable to the qualifications and responsibilities of this position.
