Job Summary:
The Data Acquisition Supervisor will provide leadership coaching to direct reports to include Mobile Systems Operators and logistical support staff. Duties will also include facilitating performance reviews, review/approve timecards/PTO, address HR issues, facilitate HR plans and team building.
Duties:
- Supervise direct reports
- Performs reviews
- Review/approve PTO and timecards
- Address HR issues and facilitate HR plans
- Addressing performance issues
- Addressing personnel issues
- Issuing disciplinary actions
- Create and maintain staff training program
- Perform training of new staff
- Ensure staff meets performance goals
- Maintain proper staffing model to support corporate production needs
- Planning/Reporting
- Maintain a 12-month collection resource plan that details the location of staff and resources
- Plan will identify resource availability as well as potential conflicts
- Maintain cost and performance against budget
- Oversee/approve the logistics of crew travel
- Oversee vehicle maintenance log
- Dictates collection priorities
- Create project collection plan and daily plans for Field Crew
- Responsible for ensuring entire AOI of a project is properly collected.
- Maintain a 12-month collection resource plan that details the location of staff and resources
- Performance
- Ensure collection team meets agreed upon project milestones
- Ensure daily calibration and alignment are performed
- Ensures validations are performed
- Create and maintain necessary procedures, policy, and workflow documentation for the team.
- Understand team performance requirements and reports status to Production Manager – Mobile on a regular basis
- Travel
- Team lead should plan to travel a minimum of 5% of the time; projects may require additional travel for short periods of time
- In field training
- In field performance checks on crew
- Assist in collection if needed
- Assist in setup of in-field validation courses
- Client meetings
- Team lead should plan to travel a minimum of 5% of the time; projects may require additional travel for short periods of time

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience leading production related activities to include:
- Developing new processes and procedures
- Developing and tracking quality processes
- Tracking and managing productivity
- Managing chargeability
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (four years). A minimum of 3 years’ relevant skill experience including the following: managing production teams, knowledge and experience with digital mapping, image processing, and computer technology; knowledge of geographical information systems, geospatial production techniques, and digital data formats preferred.
- Previous geospatial data production and managerial experience, especially the collection of Lidar data.
- Experience mentoring and leading teams to improve efficiency, quality, foster new ideas, resolve conflicts, and improve employee experience.
- Experience running projects from planning, execution, through close-out with direct responsibility for outcome.
License and/or Certifications:
- Must possess and maintain a driver’s license and good driving record
