Job Summary:
Work as an assistant to the Project Manager, performing assessment work on a number of assigned municipalities and working with municipal officials and county staff during the annual assessment cycle. Perform a variety of detailed, responsible and technical functions utilizing mass appraisal software and CADD drawing software. Also perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing information to callers.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Requires Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue certification as Assessment Technician, or ability to obtain certification within 4 months.
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience and competency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain several simultaneous projects in various stages of completion.
- Experience in real estate or a related field is desirable but not required.
- A background check is required.
Requires ability to: Learn and use appraisal software, learn to read and understand legal descriptions, plat maps and appraisal manuals. Develop and maintain good working relationships with municipal staff and the general public. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Prioritize work and coordinate multiple activities to meet deadlines.
