About the Position: Position is for a Land Surveyor for the Chicago District, US Army Corps of Engineers located in Chicago, IL. Incumbent is responsible for land surveying and mapping matters. Selection may be made at the GS-11 or the GS-12 grade level.
Responsibilities
- Support the District’s Surveying Program
- Participate in Project Delivery Teams to represent the surveying and mapping aspects of the project delivery
- Review Staffing, funding and schedules to determine use of contract support
- Determine types and extend of surveys required and proper method to obtain desired results
- Review existing survey and mapping data for accuracy and identify deficiencies
