We are currently seeking a GIS Technician Intern who will be able to assist the team in application of principles, methods and techniques of GIS technology. This internship is based out of our Waukesha office.
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Assists in the mapping production using ESRI desktop software and tools.
- Keeps up to date on GIS capabilities and requirements and can relate these ideas to others.
- Converts data through multiple GIS software applications.
- Creates and maintains GIS datasets for spacial data and is familiar with geo databases.
- Pursuing a degree in GIS related field
- Performs GIS demonstrations to clients as directed by Team Leader.
- Interest in long range growth in the GIS industry
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience and/or abilities:
- Initiative, a positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Understand the fundamentals of software development.
- Possessing or pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
