The Lincoln County Land Information and Conservation Department is seeking a limited term employee for the summer of 2005. The limited term employee will assist in creating geographic information systems (GIS) layers for a variety of natural resource data in Lincoln County as well as updating data layers. The limited term employee will work under the direction of the GIS Coordinator and County Conservationist.
Employee must be a high school graduate. Additional experience or coursework in botany, conservation, soils, hydrology, natural resources and GIS is preferred. Employee must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and dependable transportation. Mileage will be reimbursed at the rates established by Lincoln County. Employee must be able to use topographic maps, plat maps, aerial photos and soil survey maps. Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines Employee must possess good oral and written communication skills Employee must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions with occasional exposure to pollen, dust, and other elements.
