Required Skills:
* Understands client’s needs and utilize marketing skills to obtain the optimal media plan to address these needs. May have limited interaction with clients and sales representatives to gain understanding of client needs.
* Obtains, analyzes and builds data to complete a full media analysis.
* Builds aspects of the analysis books/presentations.
* Utilizes GIS software to create automated and customized maps.
* Contacts newspapers to obtain necessary information.
* Maintains customer’s analytics database and master files, both hardcopies and electronic.
* Coordinates projects as directed by senior members of analytics team or management.
* May provide assistance and training to junior level employees.
* Responds to inquiries and resolves analytical issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Assists with special projects or office functions as directed.
Required Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Associates degree in area of speciality (i.e. marketing, advertising, business) or equivalent work experience in the media or retail field or related industry.
* Understanding of all aspects of print vehicles buying and advertising (ROP, FSI, alternative vehicles, zoning methodology, circulation rules and rate cards as well as contract negotiations is an absolute MUST.
* Proficient with all Microsoft Office suite products or equivalent especially with Excel.
* Experience with GIS mapping software preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all clients, vendors and all levels of the internal organization.
* Ability to work well within a team oriented environment.
* Demonstrated ability to follow a project from inception to completion.
* Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
