Applicants with 0-5 years of experience will be considered. The CADOrtho technician is responsible for editing CAD data to meet client specifications, performing quality control measures on various data products, assisting in orthophotography editing and QC, and preparing final deliverables, including metadata and other documentation. The position requires an individual with good communication skills because they will be interacting with many different people and departments. Tasks are dependent on qualifications but may include orthophotography production, GIS data development and data conversion, and possible stereocompilation.
Position Requirements:
- Degree in Geography, Remote Sensing, Cartography, or other geospatial-related field, or experience equivalent to job responsibilities
- Basic understanding of cartographic principles
- Good written and oral communication skills
Other Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience in Microstation or other CAD programs
- Orthophotography production using Intergraph’s or Inpho’s orthoproduction software
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop
- GIS Experience, specifically, CAD/GIS interoperability
