The applicant will provide scanning and metadata verification using an existing citation database of USGS topographic maps. The student will be scanning maps located in the Robinson Map and Airphoto library. Students are responsible for removal of maps from files, scanning, metadata entry, file naming and organization and correctly returning maps to proper location and file. Students will be expected to work independently. Schedule is flexible but must confirm to Robinson Map and Airphoto Library hours.A minimum of 2 years of college education is required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, quality control and an ability to operate a computer are critical. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system is required. Experience working with on-line data entry interfaces is desirable.Applicant must meet student appointment eligibility rules of the U. S.
