IT Specialist

Under general supervision of the IT Manager, performs a variety of technical duties requiring knowledge of computer hardware and software. This position will be responsible for the implementation, support, repair, and maintenance of City computers and peripherals. Additional responsibilities include the implementation, support, and maintenance of City databases and Geographic Information System (GIS). This position requires the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative. This position has work contacts with co-workers, vendors and the public. This position is part of a 24/7 on-call rotation and must be able to respond on-site within forty minutes.
