Geospatial Analysis and Technology in Urban and Environmental Planning
Asli Gocmen, a UW Assistant Professor in Urban and Regional Planning, is looking for a research assistant, who will help develop a GIS-based toolkit to be used in land planning practices.
The position is a 50% appointment, which includes tuition waiver, monthly stipend, and benefits for the academic year 2009-2010. Required qualifications for this position include advanced knowledge and skills of GIS (specifically ArcGIS); programming; and interactive mapping. Good communication skills and knowledge of environmental sciences, landscape ecology, land use planning and policy, and statistics are also desired for this position.
