Javascript / UI Developer

We are looking for an experienced JavaScript/UI developer to join our web development team. An ideal candidate will know the web development stack from server-side to JavaScript, understand principles of website performance optimization and turn out pages that are cross-browser compatible from the start. Position and compensation will depend on availability and experience.

• A passionate web developer in touch with industry trends and technologies
• Strong front-end experience implementing JavaScript/AJAX web applications using todays web standards
• Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, ExtJS, Prototype
• A healthy respect for the user experience, browser compatibility and page performance
• Not afraid to break things every now and then; committed to fixing them when they do
• Someone who can be resourceful, pragmatic and creative
• An individual who can multi-task and self manage effectively

Requirements:

• Experience with Javascript/AJAX web application development
• Familiar with HTML and CSS hacks for cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledge of JSON and XML data formats, JavaScript libraries and APIs
• Experience with at least one of the following server-side languages:
        *PHP
        *Ruby
        *Python
        *Java

Recommended:

• B.A. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent field (or in progress)
• Experience working in a Unix (Linux) based environment
• Experience with Subversion VCS or equivalent
