The principal responsibility of the Lidar Technician II is to perform QA/QC of various digital, photogrammetric and GIS data using Microstation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS and Photoshop software. This position may be assigned to first or second shift and will require the following: knowledge of GeoCue, terra solid products and microstation, lidar systems, data processing (ABGPS/IMU and LiDAR vendor software), and knowledge of Arc, LP 360 would be a plus.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with data processing for ABGPS/IMU, lidar, and digital imagery, have a basic understanding of geodesy, surveying, and data transformations, lidar classification software, and lidar flight planning. Demonstrated experience with lidar editing/classification, experience with breakline and planimetric creation, and with lidar project deliverables such as DEMs and Contour generation.

Individual should possess related education in photogrammetry, engineering, survey, math, geography or cartography. Or combination of training and work experience that experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of position.
