GreenInfo Network is a 15-year-old non-profit organization whose mission is to provide GIS and related technology support to conservation, environmental, public health, and social service public interest groups. GreenInfo’s 10 GIS and web development staff regularly work with 20-30 public interest groups at a time and have an excellent reputation for creating the highest quality products. We are currently looking for a full-time Web and Mobile App Developer with a passion for great user interface design to join our growing Interactive Solutions team. As most of our projects include an interactive map component, willingness to learn web mapping APIs is key. You must be highly organized and able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure, both independently and as part of a team. It is expected that you will eventually manage many of your own projects and develop new client relationships. Core Qualifications:

  • iOS and Android development experience
  • Advanced experience with (X)HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/AJAX
  • Experience with user interface design; graphic design a plus
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop skills quickly with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal skills and a strong, problem-solving orientation

In addition, the ideal candidate will have capacity for, or experience with, the following:

  • Web mapping APis such as Open layers, Modest Maps, Bing, Google Maps APis
  • PHP or Python
  • Database development with Postg res/PostGIS or MySQL, proficiency in SQL

COMPENSATION

Salary is dependent on experience with additional performance-based compensation possible. Position includes a package offully-paid health, dental, and vision benefits, plus generous vacation. Our work environment supports learning, collaboration and excellence.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Our St. Paul staff (currently one person) works at CoCo, a coworking and collaborative space in Lowertown St. Paul. Our San Francisco office is right on a major transit hub, and within easy walking distance of most of the downtown and South of Market areas. The office is an attractive, spacious and well-lit space, filled with friendly and very skilled colleagues. Projects are highly varied and all serve groups working to further the public interest.
