Data Quality Analyst

Position Description:

The data quality analyst position is within the Data Quality Group.  The overall responsibilities involve the application of standard quality measures against the data elements of Navteq products that are provided to its clients.  This includes: incident and event data, digital sensor data, GPS probe data, travel time data, and geographical information systems (GIS) data.

The candidate’s responsibilities will include testing, testing coordination and verification of data collection, and statistical analysis of data in both the QA environment as well as the production environment.   Also responsible for defining data quality reports, report cards, pilot tests, and coordination with field personnel for local data quality verification.

Qualifications: 

• 1-3 years experience in the areas of data analysis or quality assurance required
• 1-3 years experience with database queries and reports required
• Experience with Oracle or MS Access and creating/managing Crystal Reports, or similar reporting tool preferred
• Experience with geographical information systems (GIS) and/or traffic information systems a plus
• Experience in internet and associated technologies, general software development processes, data analysis/statistics, quality assurance methods and procedures a plus
• Candidates should be self motivated, be a quick learner, and have strong written and verbal communications skills
• Candidates should be able to complete tasks with frequent oversight and guidance
