Summary: The primary function of the Land Records GIS Specialist is to gather, create, and maintain data in the County’s Geographic Information System/Land Records System (GIS/LRSYS) using various Esri software products. This position is responsible for generating maps (hard copy/digital), statistics, and reports using various GIS techniques for other departments or by public request. This position also functions as the County Addressing Coordinator. Duties include assigning rural property addresses, maintaining existing address data, and coordinating will all applicable government officials relating to address information. The Land Records GIS Specialist must also comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including survey and other maps, Right-of-Way Plats, site plans, permits, deeds, ordinances and statutes, planning reports, etc.

 

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED; Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in GIS or GIS related field
  2. Two or more years working with Esri ArcGIS products.
