GIS Developer

Duncan Solutions Inc has an immediate need for a GIS Application Developer in our Milwaukee,Wisconsin office. We are seeking a GIS Application Developer to join a dynamic development team working on design and implementation of product-based GIS applications. This position provides the opportunity for the individual to be involved with business requirements definition, application design and development for these efforts. 

GIS Application Developer Responsibilities:

• Identify and translate user needs into software requirements 
• Design, build and implement web-based and mobile spatial applications  
• Design, build and implement web-based reporting features tied to spatial applications  
• Provide production support and enhancements for existing spatial application  

GIS Application Developer Required Skills / Experience and Education: 

• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree  preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field 
• 4 – 6 years of software development experience 
• 3 years of experience with spatial and GIS data in a web-based, multi-user environment 
• 3 years of experience designing and implementing front-end interfaces 
• 4 years of .Net with C#
• 3 years of Google Maps API and JavaScript experience
• 2 years of  using SQL Server/Oracle  experience

GIS Application Developer Desired Skills :

• .experience .NET MVC  framework
• .experience .with third party developer components such as OpenGeo or MapSuite
• .experience .with HTML5/CSS3
• .experience .with developing mobile GIS applications
