Geographic Information Systems Coordinator/Land Information Officer

 

Sawyer County is accepting applications for a full-time Geographic Information Systems/Land Information Officer.  The GIS Coordinator/LIO is an administrative and technical working professional level position responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, maintenance, administration, and analysis of the County Land Records Modernization Plan, County-wide computerized, integrated land information (GIS) system by developing GIS and land information standards and policies, forming partnerships among departments, agencies and municipalities, writing grants, administering the Land Information Office (LIO), perform mapping as necessary and perform related work as required.   

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Planning, Geography or related field with at least five years-experience in geographical information systems, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Working knowledge of ESRI Suite of software including but not limited to ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE and Microsoft Office Suite required.  Flex application development, AutoCAD and programming languages such as SQL, Python, Visual Basic, ArcObjects, and HTML preferred.

Position is 40-hours per week, 8-hours per day, Monday through Friday with a competitive fringe benefit package including health insurance, retirement, life insurance, vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.
