Job Description
Integrys Business Support, a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Group, is currently recruiting for two (2) GIS Technicians for our office in Green Bay, WI. This position reports to the Supervisor – GIS Services Production.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mapping of land, work and service orders in the GIS software database. Conduct field verification of records. Perform GIS-related Process Improvement. Assist in developing GIS Client Service Measures. Prepare various maps, reports, and charts using tools including Smallworld, ArcView, MapInfo, AutoCad, Crystal Reports, and MS-Office to support staff & field Comply with mapping-related code requirements and corporate Operating Procedures.
- Generate reports and maps in support of Gas Code Work compliance. Understand Land Base Mapping Process including accuracy issues. Assist in security administration for auxiliary GIS systems. Provide backup to other GIS Technicians. Create CD’s (map viewing software and data). Perform data distribution to FAAR, SRS and LD-Pro. Present and facilitate weekly workload status meeting. Conduct tours of GIS Services department by schools, businesses and agencies.
- Maintain GIS gas & electric standards and procedures including drawings and diagrams. Assist in identifying training requirements and developing course content. Deliver training to field and staff personnel. Conducting training on GIS-related subject matter to assist in the training of GIS Technicians.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- An Associate’s degree in GIS/Geography, CAD, Mechanical Design, Business or GIS-related field.
- 1+ years of experience with Cartography, GIS, or CAD.
- 1+ years of experience with a computer graphics workstation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
