Project Surveyor

Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc. is a full service Forestry, Land Surveying, GIS, Real Estate, and Appraisal company with offices in Tomahawk and Hayward, Wisconsin. We are currently looking to fill one full-time, permanent Project Surveyor position in the Tomahawk office. This is considered a mid level position, requiring previous professional experience.

The ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:

• Associate Degree in Surveying or a related field

• Desire to develop a career as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in a fast-paced and diverse consulting business

• Minimum of two years of experience in Surveying with an emphasis on experience in traditional Boundary Surveying

• Ability to work independently in varied settings, both in the field and office with other professionals

• Superior written and oral communication skills

• Knowledge of RTK GPS, and robotic total station equipment applications

• Competent with Microsoft Office software

• Ability to travel and conduct overnight work away from home 10% – 20% of the time

• Current valid driver’s license

• Interest in involvement in professional organizations to further education and develop working relationships with other professionals

• A team player who is respectful, flexible, curious and self-confident

Following the successful completion of a probationary period, full-time employees receive a full benefit package including health insurance, vacation, paid holidays, 401K, and profit sharing. Salaries commensurate with experience. Posting Date: May 21, 2014. Interviews will be scheduled in the last week of June. Expected start date is flexible and as soon as possible.
