Local Road Data Collection Support

Job Duties:

This position will providing scanning support that includes coding, indexing, scanning, and archiving of CVT maps, certified survey maps, legal documents, subdivision plats, and other WISLR certification documents, as required by state statute.

In addition, this position will provide WISLR database support, requiring knowledge of On/At linear reference link/ offset methodology. These tasks assist in completing physical local roadway attribute updates for the annual certification of the WISLR database.

This Local Road Data Collection Support position will assist in GIS map support. These products are used by local government officials, Metropolitan Organizations, Regional Planning Commissioners, and other external stakeholders. This includes providing support assistance in researching GIS maps issues for the local road annual certification.

This is a Limited Term Employment position with a maximum of 1043 hours in 26 consecutive pay periods (1 year).

Basic Requirements:

• Wisconsin Residency is required for Limited Term Employees
• Knowledge of various types of file formats (e.g. ArcMap, .pdf, Access, Excel, etc.)
• Basic understanding using ESRI ArcMap software (GIS)
• Basic understanding of GIS annotation, feature classes, and various layer files (hydro, rail, etc.)
• Basic understanding of On/At (link/offset) location referencing methodology or other similar linear referencing methodologies
