GIS/SDE Administrator

Continental Mapping Consultants, Inc. is a leading provider of high quality, innovative and comprehensive photogrammetric mapping, land survey, and geospatial data solutions to private, public, and federal clients. We are headquartered in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin (suburban Madison), with branch offices in Indianapolis, IN; Kansas City, KS; and St. Louis, MO.

Continental Mapping is currently seeking a GIS/SDE Administrator for either our Sun Prairie, WI office or St. Louis, MO office. The GIS/SDE Administrator will perform technical and administrative work to set-up, manage and monitor ESRI Geodatabase replication between offices. Documentation and user training to ensure proper versioning of geospatial data and configuration management practices will also be required. Working with Geospatial Analysts and Production Leads to resolve problems, and provide guidance to GIS Project Managers and the Information Technology Department will be a critical function of this position.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A degree in Geography and/or Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a versioned Geodatabase environment.
• Proficient knowledge of and ability to utilize ESRI ArcGIS Desktop 10.0 or higher, ArcSDE 10.0 or higher, and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• The ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational skills.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and may require the ability to obtain and maintain and U.S. Government Security Clearance

Preference will be given to candidates meeting the qualifications of a Geospatial Analyst as it is expected that the selected GIS/SDE Administrator would fill any downtime in a production environment:

• Previous geospatial data production experience, especially the collection of feature and terrain data from satellite imagery
• Familiarity with geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) products and specifications
