XNR Productions, a Madison-based custom cartography firm, is accepting applications for a summer internship focusing on interactive map development. You will work with our team to create maps for clients and help develop new solutions for distributing cartographic content across various digital platforms.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about programming, can think creatively, and is able to combine research, development, coding, and implementation. GIS knowledge/experience and an affinity for maps are also pluses.
Requirements:
– Current enrollment in a university-level computer science, geography/cartography, or GIS degree program
– Programming experience, including proficiency with HTML, CSS, advanced Java/JavaScript, and database integration
– Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Hours and pay:
20-30 hours per week (hours flexible, weekdays between 9am and 5pm, at our office on the near east side of Madison) $12-$15/hour
