Job Duties:

This position works in the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Section, ensuring that all state and federal GIS requirements are completed, utilizing the most efficient technologies available. This includes updating standard map sets, creating new data layers and producing map products. Coordinate with stakeholders to enhance current GIS products and explore potential GIS initiatives. Position will research methods for transmitting georeferenced field team data. This position will also assist with the development of a learning management system. This positon may participate in nuclear power plant drills/exercises as a player or controller and perform such assignments as required during periods of emergencies or disaster response.

Knowledges:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe or other Learning Management Systems, and

ESRI ArcGIS for Desktop (ArcCatalog and ArcMap) products including ArcGIS Spatial Analyst extension. Must be able to create and edit map data layers (point, line and polygon features) and possess advance cartographic skills to create and maintain mapping products. Possess familiarity with ArcGIS Online capabilities including creating and maintaining maps and adding user accounts. Ability to understand and analyze business processes to better utilize IT software and tools to enhance office operations. Possess good written and verbal communications skills. The ability to work independently on assigned projects, evaluate future program needs and suggest program improvements.

Special Requirements:

A driver’s license is required and there will be occasion travel. Wisconsin residency is required and will be verified during later stages of the selection process.
