Job Summary:

To create, analyze, and maintain maps, data, and reports. Assists Milwaukee County Land Information Office (MCLIO) Internal/External clients and staff in technical development of GIS software applications, database design and GIS project development. 

Job Duties:

1. Creation and maintenance of core County land information Datasets; updates, corrects, validates, and verifies core LIS data including; Enterprise Address, Routable/Geodode Range Street Centerline, Cadastral and Topographic/Planimetric mapped features. Employs spatially enabled toolsets, reconciles multiple and diverse source materials. 
2. LIS Data Distribution; extracts, manipulates, organizes, packages, and delivers requested LIS data to internal/external clients. Employs multiple tools and methods necessary to select required data and to deliver custom formatted data to MCLIO clients. 
3. LIP Support Services; provides first level support to satisfy Internal/External client problems and questions regarding MCLIO spatial data and web enabled applications. Assesses problems and issues and resolves technical/usages conflicts. Provides specialized project support services. 
4. GIS IT application development and maintenance; employing acquired LIS skills, interprets written/verbal instructions regarding new and ongoing development of MCLIO website, desktop, and network applications. Synthesizes requirements and formulates outcomes to meet client expectations. 
5. Client Contact and Follow-up; working closely with client organizations, follow up on concerns, resolving issues, and communicating project progress.
6. Creates, drafts, and modifies reports and presentations; creates reports and develops presentations for GIS projects, demonstrations, and exhibitions. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Cartography, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field. At least one (1) year of work experience in an Enterprise Geographic Information Systems environment. At least one (1) year of work experience working with Enterprise LIS/GIS Projects that specifically includes addressing cadastral and topographic datasets.
