GIS Specialist/ Deputy Treasurer
Pepin County is accepting applications for a full time GIS Specialist/Deputy Treasurer.
Position Purpose:
This position will be responsible for the mapping and maintenance of Pepin County’s parcel layer and administrative boundary layers using GIS software. Assists the Land Information Officer with the creation of metadata and file management projects. Other Primary duties include property assessment and taxation process, property description, interpreting maps, plats creating split and new parcels, tax collection, general receipts and reconcile accounts.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Qualifications include graduation from accredited college with a degree in Geography, Cartography, or related field that emphasized the use of GIS, or the completion of GIS Certificate program. Two (2) years of paid-full time experience with ESRI ArcGIS software, planning, surveying, land records, or cartography. Or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
The Hourly wage range is: $17.14 to $23.32.
