The City of Fond du Lac is accepting applications for a Geographic Information System (GIS) intern. This position will assist with GIS project support across various City departments, as well as the development and maintenance of the City’s enterprise GIS.
Experience
Candidates should have the skills and experience necessary to perform the following tasks: GIS data conversion and creation; data QA/QC; map creation; and field data collection. Candidates should be familiar with working with geodatabases (design, creation, editing, etc.), interpreting plan drawings, scripting, and digitizing.
Qualifications
Applicants must either have GIS experience or be in a GIS-related field of study. Applicants must also have experience with ArcGIS 10.x and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS for Server, ArcSDE, AutoCAD, Portal for ArcGIS, Python, and Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
The wage range for this position is $11.00 to $13.00 per hour. Application deadline is Friday, April 8, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
