St. Croix County is now hiring a 2 year grant funded Planner/GIS Technician position in the Community Development Department. The qualified candidate will perform planning, research, documentation, graphic and GIS work for the Community Development Department.
Other duties include assisting as a member of staff teams with special planning projects, including the Comprehensive Bike and Pedestrian Plan and the comprehensive revision of general zoning, and other special plans.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning, GIS, Urban or Regional Planning or related field plus one year experience in community or regional planning, or GIS or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience; demonstrated ability to understand and apply municipal plans, ordinances, and regulations; experience working with ESRI GIS is required, and knowledge of GIS planning applications is preferred; demonstrated analytical and organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
