Overview:
Provides leadership and serves as a technical resource for the Geospatial Services group. Provides oversight for the GIS and GIS-related systems that support the core operations of the company. Serves as corporate GIS expert and educator. In this role you will have significant impact on the success of our organization through leadership of the Geospatial Services group and direction of the system. Your drive and excitement will allow you to discover new ways GIS can improve deliver of business results for the company.
Key Responsibilities & Results:

Supervises GIS/Geospatial Services team

Serves as corporate GIS expert, educator, and “champion”

Leads GIS and GIS-related services and solutions to meet the needs of internal and external customers

Provides oversight of GIS-related standards and processes
-
Develops and provides guidance for the technical systems roadmap
-
Ensures accurate and complete GIS data is available to other enterprise technical systems
Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in GIS/Geography, computer science, engineering, or related
-
3+ years’ experience working in an electric utility setting
-
Ability to effectively lead teams, influence, and implement change
-
Experience giving work direction or leading project teams
-
Excellent communication, listening, and collaboration skills

Formal people leadership experience is strongly preferred
