Job Description:
Pro-West & Associates is seeking a Geospatial Project Manager (GPM) who can work independently, and as an integral member of the Pro-West team providing project leadership, communicating with project teams and providing solutions to the client. We are a growing company in need of people who want to work with processes and tools at the forefront of the geospatial technology industry.
Responsibilities & Duties:
• Project planning and management, including scope/time/cost managaement
• Assess client systems, geospatial data, databases, applications and processes, make recommendations for system requirements, migration plans and enterprise implementation
• Provide project resource planning and scheduling with Operations
• Provide technical guidance and support/training to PWA staff or Operations as required for projects
• Provide technical support and training to clients
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years technical experience with ArcGIS, depending on past work experience
- Expertise creating and editing geodatabases and metadata, data modeling, geodatabase design
- Experience with data collection technologies and processes
Skills & Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Knowledge of GIS development processes for data and databases on the Esri platform
- Ability to bridge between non-technical users and technical project processes and GIS concepts
- Ability to assess client systems, data, databases, applications, processes, and client business needs
- Quality assurance expertise
- Expertise with Bentley MicroStation and AutoDesk AutoCAD
- Cartography for report figures, map services, and presentations
