Job Description:
LocusView is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of our mobile and web tools with clients. The Technical Project Manager will lead client engagements including requirements gathering, scoping, and designing solutions to meet individual client needs. The Technical Project Manager will also lead a team of software engineers and technicians to ensure successful implementation including configuration, testing and quality, deployment, and technical support. Responsibilities will also include analyzing and improving client business processes and workflows for new technology implementation.
The Technical Project Manager will have project ownership and accountability for successful implementations and deployments. Strong attention to detail is an essential skill for this position along with being a creative problem solver with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years demonstrated experience implementing mobile, web, or GIS technologies with clients
- Experience providing services in a consultant role
- Experience leading client projects
- Experience with product development lifecycle
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to lead a team of junior engineers and technicians
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Increasing levels of responsibility demonstrated through career advancement
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in the utility, energy, or pipeline industry
- Experience with Esri products
- Experience managing software product development
- Experience writing workflow and business process improvement whitepapers
- Experience with field data collection including GPS and RTK
- Experience with mobile mapping and GIS
