Job Summary:

Reporting to the Airport Planning Manager, responsible for managing concurrent analytical projects. Builds, manages and maintains basic to intermediate business intelligence solutions to effectively deliver information to the division. Conducts analysis and produces management reports in support of Milwaukee County Airports. Supervises, coordinates and supports various airport projects including Milwaukee County’s Airport Noise Management Program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze and evaluate business intelligence needs by working with individuals and teams to define, scope and plan analytical solutions that produce meaningful insights including Key Performance Indicators. Track key airline and airport metrics, continuously and independently interpreting variances using statistical techniques.
  • Design, develop and review analytical solutions and data visualizations using best practice standards. Function as a technical resource for reporting on analytics projects using BI technology such as Tableau and Excel. Use data visualization tools to communicate actionable insights across multiple data sources. Responsible for developing accurate performance reports and dashboards typically using Business Intelligence software such as Airport Business Manager, Tableau and Excel. Prepare reports, spreadsheets and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Organize the overall airport self-report process including development and publishing of airport statistical reports. Collect, analyze and compile airportstatistics for internal use and public release.
  • Coordinate, oversee and provide input on the overall operation of the airport noise management program. Support the Airport Noise Advisory Committee. Assist in the oversight of noise contracts and maintenance agreements. Operate and manage noise equipment. Participate in public meetings and presentations. Investigate and respond to citizen inquiries and concerns. Supervise various airport noise projects and conduct noise analysis as needed. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelorƒ??s Degree in Statistics, Aviation, Accounting or a closely related field. A valid state of Wisconsin driverƒ??s license. Must obtain and maintain an Airport Class II License. One (1) year of experience in business analytics and spreadsheet development.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working at an Airport preferred. Specialized software experience such as Tableau, SQL Management Studio and an Airport Geographic Information System (GIS) preferred. Knowledge of aircraft operations, noise management and skills in using database programs and mining large quantities of data for statistically valid information is also preferred.
