Job Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks focused around community planning, including land use, economic development, and grant writing. In addition, the positon will be involved with bike & pedestrian planning and housing assessments, as well as a variety of other planning studies. The typical
work is completed on a town, village, city, county or regional scale.
Qualifications & Experience:
The applicant should have basic knowledge of planning principles and practice, strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and be able to handle multiple tasks and projects. Ability to collect, analyze, and report data is critical. Computer graphic and design skills are a plus.
A bachelor’s degree in planning or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. At least one year of professional experience is desired. The position requires occasional attendance at night meetings and some travel. Applicants must possess or obtain a Wisconsin Driver’s license.
