Position Summary:

This position will participate in efforts to fulfill conservation agreement and easement obligations under statutes and provide technical information and answer questions related to conservation compliance requirements from participants, land conservation technicians, etc. This position will also participate in outreach efforts to promote sound use of land and water resources which may include efforts related to cooperative agreements or grant funds.

This position will be a liaison with local governments, federal government, landowners, and other state agencies to support land use programs.

Qualifications:

Required

Candidates must have experience and/or educationrelevant to these areas in order to be considered for the position):

  • ExperienceServing as a Subject Matter Expert to Provide Information, Explanation and Support to a Variety of Individuals(e.g., Federal, Local and other State agencies; Land Owners; Internal Customers; Vendors, etc.)
  • Conservation (e.g., Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program-CREP; Farmland Preservation Program-FPP; Agricultural Enterprise Areas-AEA; Agreements; Compliance, etc.)

Preferred

  • GIS Mapping and Development (e.g., Mapping, Data Compilation, Data Analysis, Geodatabase Management, Geographic Information Sharing, etc.)
  • Document Management Software (e.g., SharePoint, Efile Cabinet, etc.)
