Job Description:
Responsible for the development, implementation and administration of a business unit database architecture, software and support systems to maintain company data in an accurate, efficient and secure manner.
Essential Job Duties:
- Work with various internal team members and clients in developing Quickbase and other database applications, including but not limited to database architecture, security administration, data ownership and integrity, integration with other software, analytical tools and resources, support methods, processes and procedures.
- Maintain internal and client facing database and reporting applications, by implementing methods, techniques, support systems and management reports of projects and activities.
- Enhance database functionality through the use of custom code pages, and integration with other software, SaaS, PaaS, etc. Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming languages HTML, Javascript, and Python.
- Create elegant solutions for internal and client needs through the use and integration of various technologies.
- Cross-train members of the organization on how to use applications effectively.
- Assess new technologies and provide management with updates and recommendations of changes to database resources.
- Participate in systems design projects and activities as the database design expert.
- Must be able to serve in a “Data Analyst” role, ensuring data integrity and reporting output accuracy.
Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 2 years previous work experience in Quickbase or related software application development.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, HTML, Javascript, and Python.
- Familiarity with desktop and cloud-based GIS a plus.
- Must be a self-learner and possess strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in independent situations as well as team situations.
- Strong organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment.
