Job Summary:
The Town of Grand Chute (pop. 22,083) has an internship available in our Public Works Department. Position will work closely with the Town’s Public Works Department to learn day-to-day operations. Job responsibilities include: updates to the Town’s utility data, database maintenance, map production, and general GPS data collection. Additional responsibilities include work on special projects or other assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
Student with Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing working towards degrees in GIS, Planning, Natural Resources Technician, Surveying, and/or Engineering. Microsoft Word and Excel skills; ESRI ArcMap experience required; experience with GPS data collection and/or AutoCAD a plus.
Work Schedule:
Minimum of 10 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week. 3-month commitment between November 2017 and June 2018. A mutually acceptable start and end date will be arranged with the intern.
