This role will be a part of the GIS pooled resources (center of excellence) to support expanded district and route planning in various markets. Supports design, development and implementation of Territory Planning projects to enable field service effectiveness. The GIS3 center of excellence meets critical business needs by improving responsiveness, effectiveness and efficiency, through innovative research, defined architectures, planning, and optimal use of GIS and other business information and technology. Enable’s universal enterprise data access by linking geospatial and business attributes to effect efficient territories, measured service, and business expansion.

Key duties for this position will entail the collection, editing, processing, and modeling of mapping data from various sources to produce deliverables that meet internal and external customer requirements. Production tasks will vary according to each task but will include GIS data content management, GIS data compilation and updates, and GIS modeling using Business & Network analysis. This role will also communicate effect within the context of a GIS map and spatial-based reporting. Other duties involve data attribution, data analysis, and database setup in ESRI ArcGIS.

Your work will help to enable a consistent, coordinated, and proactive GIS-based planning approach to bring both clarity and stability to business operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create route and territory optimizations using multiple criteria, routing models, and perform other spatial analyses.
  • Apply coding, geospatial, statistical, and modeling tools to uncover underlying opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide GIS analysis to support their business needs.
  • Provide detail and summary reporting on GIS analytics.
  • Support project scopes and objectives through hands-on application, networking, research and use of applicable technology.
  • Coach business partners and users in understanding and adopting GIS information and analysis outputs.
  • Document methodologies used in the execution of requests and standard reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a professional rapport with team members.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and oral, with project team and management staff.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Geography, Planning or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ full-time experience using ESRI ArcGIS software products involving GIS data development, manipulation, and applied GIS analysis.
  • 1+ years’ Experience working with the following technologies:
    • ESRI Geodatabase
    • ESRI Model Builder
    • Structuring queries
    • Geographic and Spatial methods and techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of ESRI ArcGIS experience; including ESRI network analyst, Business Analyst, and Location-Allocation and VRP tools and functionality.
  • 2+ years of experience in fundamentals of Geocoding and Address Matching.
  • Experience in the design, development, and maintenance of an ESRI/SQL Enterprise Geodatabase.
  • Ability to use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to apply knowledge and develop maps, information, and reporting that support decision-making.
  • Experience in business analysis and application toward territory & route design.
  • Experience in global mapping projects.
  • Python experience preferred.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcOnline/Portal for ArcGIS.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision and develop advanced skills.
  • Ability to compile, review and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, database, and word-processing applications.
  • Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
