CIPS includes multiple sectors: Automotive, Energy, Industrial Products, Retail and Consumer, and Utilities.

Consultants in PwC’s GIS (Geographic Information System) Practice serve clients seeking to leverage their GIS to solve industry problems, whether Power and Utilities, Pipeline, or even Real Estate and consumer areas.

Consultants deliver projects through requirements gathering, testing, training, problem solving, implementing solutions, and documenting activities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 5
• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree
• Degree Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in engineering, information systems, or geography from a nationally recognized higher-level institution.
• Certification(s) Preferred: Certification in ESRI ArcGIS and/or GIS-P Certification

Knowledge Preferred:

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing client needs in the following areas:
• Communicating a broad range of Firm services to clients;
• Managing engagements including preparing concise and accurate documents;
• Maintaining project economics while maintaining flexibility for unanticipated issues;
• Answering questions and providing direction to less-experienced staff;
• Leveraging knowledge of GIS platforms, data management, and IT networks and how they serve businesses at the enterprise level;
• Utilizing technical, functional, interpersonal, and customer facing skills to build client relationships and deliver on value propositions; and,
• Applying GIS analysis, GIS mapping, and GIS technical skills and knowledge.

• Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:
• Building, maintaining and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement;
• Identifying and addressing client needs, communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner, and demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks;
• Contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members and proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback, while providing guidance, clarification, and feedback to less-experienced staff;
• Working with one or more GIS platforms doing functional configuration, design, consulting, and/or technical development including Desktop ESRI ArcGIS 10.x, GE Smallworld 4.x, or Integraph G/Technology to support business operations, analysis ,or data management;
• Implementing or administrating ESRI ArcGIS Server & SDE 10.x;
• Writing Action Handlers and Auto Updaters;
• Leveraging and understanding of relational databases and geodatabases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2);
• Learning new technologies and business processes and stepping outside of traditional GIS roles;
• Designing, implementing, and supporting business processes around a GIS platform that serves day to day needs of end users;
• Leveraging technology including Desktop ESRI ArcGIS 10.x, GE Smallworld 4.x , Integraph G/Technology, Maximo, SAP, Citiworks or similar EAM software products; and,
• Utilizing Business Process knowledge related to Asset Management, Schneider ArcFM and Designer, Work Management, GIS for Business Analytics, Supply Chain, ArcGIS Online, Webmap development, agile delivery, and project management to design and deploy solutions including mobile solutions.
