Job Summary:
Applies advanced analytical techniques to complex data sets to develop distinctive analytical and risk insights that deliver improvements in business results. Structures business challenges/opportunities for data sourcing, hypothesis generation, and testing. Generates distinctive analytical and risk insights. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships throughout the organization; is a strong contributor to distinctive analytical and risk insights within the Predictive Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE). Will work with one or more areas of the business such as claims, marketing, sales & distribution, strategy, underwriting, etc.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics/Statistics and 2 or more years of experience in the transforming data and developing insights for use in business decision area
OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent in Computer Science or Mathematics/Statistics and 4 or more years of experience in the transforming data and developing insights for use in business decision area
OR
- Zurich approved Apprenticeship program including an Associate Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics/Statistics and 2 or more years of experience in the transforming data and developing insights for use in business decision area
AND
- Experience applying data transformation techniques such as exact and probabilistic matching methods; fuzzy matching, text mining, and data reduction.
Preferred
- Masters Degree
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with geospatial analytic techniques and visualization
- Experience with programming and GIS tools such as Python, R, SQL, ArcGIS or QGIS
