Job Summary:
MAG Aerospace is hiring a GEOSPATIAL Project Manager for Scott AFB. This position is Contingent until the contract is awarded, projected in November.
The candidate will be responsible for leading a team and delivering client solutions for Air Force clients. The person will plan and lead major technology assignments.
Other assignments will be:
- Enterprise integration planning, lifecycle project planning and management, client communications, and ensuring successful completion of the solution design and implementation with technical team support.
- Provide project oversight of medium-to-large, integrated geospatial projects.
- Facilitate, manage and execute project activities from large or complex GIS tasks that may include enterprise systems integration, data maintenance and migration, and geospatial analysis projects.
- Provide technical oversight and develop standards for business line activities integrating with the enterprise GIS.
- Develop, maintain and report on project plans and schedules.
- Mentor technical staff and foster a good working environment through knowledgeable, effective, hands-on technical and management oversight and support.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Primary work location will be at a Government site.
Job Requirements:
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering, Business or another related field.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in GIS Project Management with the Air Force or DoD, with staff management background.
Skills Required:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with government employees, other DoD contractors, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
