Job Summary:
MAG Aerospace is hiring a GEOSPATIAL Strategic Consultant for Scott AFB. This position is Contingent until the contract is awarded, projected in November.
The candidate will be responsible for analyzing large scale (enterprise-wide) geospatial information resource management and strategic program planning challenges.Other assignments will be to:
- Provide high-level strategic planning and consulting advice to government geospatial program directors.
- Develop and present approaches to complicated geospatial program implementation challenges including non-technical, cultural acceptance challenges.
- Provide strategic planning support.
- Lead, guide, or otherwise contribute to development of high-level capability statement documents including but not limited to Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documents, requirements documents, and mission/vision statements.
- Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
- Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.
- Direct and control activities for a Government client, with overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
- Conduct Government client negotiations and interface with senior management.
- May have supervisory responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
Education Required:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Geography, Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science or related field.
Skills Required:
- Working knowledge of DoD’s DOTMLPF-P construct, Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Joint Capabilities Areas (JCA), Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan (JSCP) and other similar artifacts, policies, and protocols.
- Expert technical GIS domain knowledge for decision-making that may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with government employees, other DoD contractors, etc.
Experience Required:
- Twenty (20) or more years’ experience addressing geospatial information resource management challenges as well as large scale enterprise geospatial program leadership experience.Relevant experience working in a consulting environment that provides the requisite GIS and engineering knowledge, skills, and abilities as described below.
- Demonstrated experience communicating with senior executives including DoD General Officers and/or civilian equivalents.
- Proven experience working with Chief Information Officer (CIO) concepts, procedures, and challenges.
Experience Desired:
- Experience with DoD geospatial program leadership preferred.
Security Clearance Required:
- Active US Secret or higher.
