Job Summary:
Supports and assists in the design, development, production, testing, operation and maintenance of components and equipment. Prepares detailed drawings and layouts and conduct materials testing. Performs equipment maintenance, calibration, mechanical and electrical repairs, adjustments and monitoring of products under development. Experienced with complex instruments, testing equipment and gauges. May test models, write reports, identify problems and suggest solutions
Duties:
Performs edits on gas, electric and landbase facility information within the Client’s Enterprise GIS. Data updates performed utilizing GE Smallworld GIS software and SAP work and asset management software, following QA/QC processes to ensure data integrity for advanced downstream applications. Focusing on general data integrity and GIS maintenance work in order to improve data accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications:
Minimum Skills/Experience:
- Education and/or work experience with Geospatial applications (reference: https://www.aaas.org/content/what-are-geospatial-technologies)
- Completion of education in GIS (Certificate, Associate, Bachelor, Master) or related field with GIS study Preferred
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience with GE Smallworld GIS software Previous experience with electric/gas utility
