Job Summary & Duties:
The City of Mounds View has an opening for a full-time GIS Technician. Under the guidance and supervision of the Public Works Director, this position is responsible to maintain technical and engineering work and related applications to the operation of GIS Asset, Pavement, and Right of Way Management. Candidate will perform field inspections, pavement ratings, and other technical fieldwork.
Qualifications:
- Two year associates degree from an accredited community college or technical school in Geography & GIS with a GIS Professional Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
- Two years’ experience using AutoCAD, ARCCAD and ARCVIEW, or equivalent, drafting, map reading, computer entry, construction inspection, surveying, plan and permit review
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license
