Job Summary:
Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH®) is an employee-owned company comprised of more than 800 engineers, architects, planners, scientists and talented professionals who work to provide exceptional service and value to our public and private clients. We are looking for an Intern for Summer 2018 to work out of our St. Paul, MN office.
This position will be responsible for supporting planners and engineers with day-to-day project related tasks and assisting with preparation of environmental review documentation, transportation plans, and corridor studies. This work could involve technical writing, preparation of graphics, and performing data collection.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate pursuing a Master’s Degree in Transportation Planning or related field.
- Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Must possess a valid Drivers License and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.
- Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Self-starting positive attitude and interest to perform work with limited direction at times.
Preferred:
- Previous experience and working knowledge of GIS, CAD, and/or InDesign software
